Avaira Toric Contact Lenses - Product Details
Avaira lenses are a new brand from the contact lens manufacturers at Cooper Vision. Avaira Toric lenses are 1-2 week disposable lenses that are made with silicone hydrogel. This material helps to attract water to the lens itself creating a bond that helps to keep your eyes moist and free from redness. Avaira lenses are designed to help prevent protein build-up without the need for adding additional surface treatments or wetting agents. Avaira Toric contact lenses use Cooper Vision's patented Aquaform Comfort Science Technology. This technology makes Avaira Toric lenses softer and increases their flexibility making them exceptionally comfortable, even when worn over a long period of time. Each Avaira Toric lens is made with Enfilcon A (54%) which helps to allow plenty of oxygen through the lens preventing your eyes from drying out and protein from building up.
What are Toric Contact Lenses?
Toric contact lenses, like the Avaira Toric brand, are specially designed lenses used to correct astigmatism. Astigmatism is a common vision problem where your corneas are not a perfectly round shape. As such, regular contact lenses will only correct a portion of your vision due to the unusual shape. Toric lenses are designed to give your eyes more power in one direction and less power in another. They are also designed to stay in one position, so they can be aligned correctly to the shape of your eye. Toric lenses do not rotate, so you won't have to worry about your vision becoming distorted over time. Frequency 55 Toric lenses are specifically designed for people who have an astigmatism and have specialty contact lenses recommended by their doctor.
